Cookies and profiling
We inform you that in order to adapt the content and services of our websites to the individual needs of users, we use information stored by the Service's servers on the user's end devices (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), which servers can read each time they connect from that device, i.e., so-called „cookies”. These servers may also use other technologies with similar or identical functions to „cookies”.
„Cookies” are IT data, in particular text files, which, by being saved on the user's end device, allow us to learn about their behaviors, interests, and needs. „Cookies” provide, among other things, statistical data on the use of individual Services and their functionalities. „Cookies” generally do not identify the personal data of the user. „Cookies” always contain the domain name of the Services from which they come, the time of their storage on the end device.
„Cookies” may be placed on the user's end device of the Services and then used by the Administrator's cooperating application providers.
Cookies are used for:
- adapting the content of the Service's pages to the user's needs and optimizing the use of websites, as „cookies” allow recognizing the user's device and appropriately displaying the website tailored to their individual needs,
- creating statistics that help understand how users of the Services use the websites, which allows for their improvement (we check how many users we have, how long users use our service, what content interests them)
- maintaining the user's session on the Services (after logging in), so that the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the Services.
Within our Services, we may use the following types of cookies:
- so-called necessary cookies, enabling the use of services available within the Services, e.g., authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Service,
- cookies used to ensure security, e.g., used to detect abuses in authentication within the Services,
- cookies that allow collecting information on how the websites of the Services are used,
- so-called functional cookies, allowing for the "remembering" of the settings selected by the user and personalizing the user interface, e.g., regarding the selected language or region from which the user comes, font size, appearance of the website, etc.,
- so-called advertising cookies, enabling the delivery of advertising content more tailored to users' interests.
In many cases, the software used to browse websites (web browser) by default allows the storage of „cookies” on the user's end device.
Each user has the option, at any time, to disable the option of accepting „cookies” in their software. Detailed information on the possibility and methods of handling „cookies” is available in the software settings (web browser).
Disabling „cookies” may cause difficulties or even prevent the use of some services within the Service; however, it will not prevent reading or viewing the content posted within the Service, except for those that require logging in.
The user's consent to accept „cookies” is given by changing the browser settings that allow the processing of „cookies” or by expressing consent in the appropriate „window” in the Service.
